Overview

  • Provide compassionate mental health care in a hybrid setting, combining remote and on-site services for diverse populations.
  • Perform diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention as part of an integrated healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to address psychosocial factors impacting patient health and recovery.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to support patient mental health goals and progress.
  • Supervise and mentor social work interns, fostering their professional growth and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards in mental health care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced clinical training to provide high-quality mental health services and interventions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to patient needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to create comprehensive care plans addressing mental and physical health.
  • Perform detailed diagnostic evaluations, including mental status exams and psychosocial assessments.
  • Develop therapy goals and strategies to guide patient progress and recovery effectively.
  • Provide supervision and training to social work interns, ensuring adherence to clinical and ethical standards.
  • Educate healthcare staff on psychosocial factors affecting patient care and treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient services and progress in medical records.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for patient support and intervention when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure in New York State as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals facing homelessness or chronic health conditions.
  • Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor interns, fostering their professional development.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards, including Article 28 and JCAHO regulations.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and reporting within healthcare systems.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred, with additional compensation available for proficiency.
