Job Description

Overview

  • Lead dermatology services within a multi-clinic family practice network, ensuring high-quality care and clinical excellence.
  • Combine clinical dermatology expertise with leadership responsibilities to drive program development and provider education.
  • Provide comprehensive dermatologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments across multiple clinic locations.
  • Shape and expand dermatology programs, establishing clinical standards and evidence-based care protocols.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to improve patient access and care delivery efficiency.
  • Mentor and support dermatology providers and advanced practice clinicians within the organization.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development efforts.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide comprehensive dermatologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for diverse patient populations.
  • Perform in-office dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
  • Develop and maintain dermatology protocols, workflows, and standards of care.
  • Serve as the clinical lead for dermatology services across the network.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to primary care providers on dermatologic conditions.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of dermatology providers and clinicians.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve workflow efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and Board Certification in Dermatology required.
  • Active North Carolina medical license or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical dermatology experience; 5+ years preferred.
  • Prior leadership or Medical Director experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to mentor and support providers and clinicians effectively.
  • Experience in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
