Overview
- Manage the Labor and Delivery department, overseeing staff and operations to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate program activities with hospital administration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise a team of 27 full-time employees and oversee 20 postpartum beds and a newborn nursery.
- Support a department handling up to 1,500 births annually, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Foster a collaborative environment to enhance team performance and patient satisfaction.
- Utilize advanced technology and innovative practices to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and evaluate the Labor and Delivery and PNU departments to ensure compliance with hospital and medical staff standards.
- Coordinate services provided to patients, ensuring seamless integration with hospital operations.
- Manage departmental budgets, marketing functions, and operational efficiency.
- Supervise staff performance and ensure adherence to corporate and hospital policies.
- Maintain responsibility for safety policies and procedures, meeting regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with hospital administration to align departmental activities with organizational goals.
- Oversee patient care quality, ensuring exceptional experiences and outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Current Florida RN license or Compact Licensure meeting state requirements.
- Associate of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Manager.
- Preferred 3 years of experience in a similar managerial role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage staff and operations effectively.
- Ability to handle high-volume departments with up to 1,500 births annually.
