Job Description

Overview

  • Provide medical support to healthcare providers and assist in clinical activities under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.
  • Ensure exam rooms are prepared, cleaned, and restocked for patient encounters and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Support patient care activities, including obtaining vital signs and documenting them in the electronic medical record system.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed and adhere to universal precautions in all clinical tasks.
  • Organize and prepare patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic operations.
  • Assist patients in navigating the clinic, including calling them from the lobby into exam rooms.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive environment for patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and prepare patient charts and summary sheets for daily clinic operations.
  • Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms to ensure readiness for patient encounters.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs and chief complaints in the electronic medical record system.
  • Assist medical providers with patient care activities under supervision.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and adhere to universal precautions in all clinical tasks.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; 2 years ideal.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, particularly Eclinical Works.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to perform phlebotomy procedures.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred to enhance patient communication.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Excellent communication skills and a stable work history.
