Overview
- Perform mammography and radiographic procedures under the guidance of radiologists and supervisors, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Utilize advanced imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
- Engage with patients to provide education about procedures and ensure a comfortable experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with department standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and support departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Operate mammographic equipment according to specifications, producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, ensuring patient and staff safety.
- Maintain imaging equipment and troubleshoot processing issues effectively.
- Assess patients prior to procedures, reviewing medical history and ensuring proper preparation.
- Educate patients about imaging procedures, addressing concerns and documenting interactions.
- Utilize Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for accurate procedure documentation and workflow management.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with non-technical duties, including patient transport and maintaining stock levels.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree and completion of an accredited ARRT program.
- Current ARRT certification with advanced mammography certification preferred.
- One year of experience in mammography or radiographic procedures is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing quality radiographic procedures and working independently.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and adhering to federal guidelines.
