Job Description

Overview

  • Provide medical and clinical support under the direction of the Nurse Manager in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Assist medical providers with patient care, ensuring seamless operations and quality service delivery.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for clinical activities and patient encounters.
  • Prepare patient summary sheets and charts, organizing information for daily clinic operations.
  • Float to other clinics as needed, adapting to various healthcare environments and team dynamics.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment, contributing to patient-centered care and operational efficiency.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and prepare patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic operations.
  • Check and restock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient encounters.
  • Call patients from the lobby into exam rooms, facilitating smooth transitions.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and chief complaints in electronic medical records.
  • Assist with patient care under the direction of medical providers or Nurse Manager.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed, adhering to universal precautions.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in all clinical activities.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience preferred; bilingual skills advantageous.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and computer literacy essential.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to adapt to various healthcare environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a clear and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to float to other clinics as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
