Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential medical support to healthcare providers in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Assist with patient care, including obtaining vital signs and documenting in EMR systems.
  • Maintain clinical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient encounters.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures under supervision.
  • Support clinic operations by preparing patient charts and summary sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to universal precautions and safety protocols in all activities.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays, to meet clinic needs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and prepare patient charts and summary sheets for daily clinic operations.
  • Check and restock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient encounters.
  • Call patients from the lobby and escort them to exam rooms.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and chief complaints during patient visits.
  • Assist medical providers and Nurse Manager with patient care procedures.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with universal precautions and safety standards.
  • Utilize EMR systems to document patient information accurately.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and computer literacy essential.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to perform phlebotomy required.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred for enhanced patient communication.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays.
  • Excellent communication skills and a stable work history valued.
