Overview
- Provide medical and general support under the Nurse Manager's direction in a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Assist medical providers with patient care, ensuring efficient clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment to support clinical activities.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient data management.
- Perform phlebotomy and obtain vital signs as required during patient visits.
- Ensure adherence to universal precautions and safety protocols in all clinical tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care and support.
- Engage with patients to obtain chief complaints and prepare them for medical evaluations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Organize and prepare patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic operations.
- Restock and clean exam rooms to ensure readiness for patient encounters.
- Call patients from the lobby and guide them to exam rooms efficiently.
- Document vital signs and patient information accurately in Eclinical Works.
- Assist with patient care tasks under medical provider or Nurse Manager guidance.
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures as needed.
- Maintain universal precautions and safety standards in all clinical activities.
- Support clinic operations by floating to other clinics as required.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification mandatory for eligibility.
- Healthcare experience preferred, with strong clinical skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eclinical Works.
- Bilingual candidates preferred for enhanced patient communication.
- Ability to float to other clinics as needed for operational support.
- Effective communication skills and a stable work history.
- Knowledge of universal precautions and safety protocols in clinical settings.
