Job Description

Overview

  • Provide medical and general support under the Nurse Manager's direction in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Assist medical providers with patient care, ensuring efficient clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment to support clinical activities.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient data management.
  • Perform phlebotomy and obtain vital signs as required during patient visits.
  • Ensure adherence to universal precautions and safety protocols in all clinical tasks.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care and support.
  • Engage with patients to obtain chief complaints and prepare them for medical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and prepare patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic operations.
  • Restock and clean exam rooms to ensure readiness for patient encounters.
  • Call patients from the lobby and guide them to exam rooms efficiently.
  • Document vital signs and patient information accurately in Eclinical Works.
  • Assist with patient care tasks under medical provider or Nurse Manager guidance.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures as needed.
  • Maintain universal precautions and safety standards in all clinical activities.
  • Support clinic operations by floating to other clinics as required.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification mandatory for eligibility.
  • Healthcare experience preferred, with strong clinical skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eclinical Works.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred for enhanced patient communication.
  • Ability to float to other clinics as needed for operational support.
  • Effective communication skills and a stable work history.
  • Knowledge of universal precautions and safety protocols in clinical settings.
