Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner, aligning business objectives with employee needs in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Support leadership and employees with value-added HR services reflecting organizational goals.
  • Manage HR functions including employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with a young, motivated team in a stable, supportive environment.
  • Utilize Paychex and manual processes to maintain HR records and systems.
  • Engage in data analysis and policy development to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to training and development initiatives to improve team capabilities.
  • Participate in SHRM activities and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Act as the primary HR contact for assigned departments, providing expert guidance.
  • Consult with leadership on HR-related topics, fostering collaboration and strategic alignment.
  • Maintain and update internal databases for staff and faculty records accurately.
  • Analyze HR metrics to develop programs and policies supporting organizational objectives.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations as needed.
  • Provide performance management guidance to leadership for effective team development.
  • Identify training needs and implement development programs for departments.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Perform additional HR duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • HR certification or ability to obtain certification within one year is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in diverse environments.
  • Proficiency in Paychex and other HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and PA regulations is desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite is essential.
  • Physical ability to navigate office spaces and campus facilities as needed.
