Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential legal and compliance support within a dynamic private equity real estate firm.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management and the Legal and Compliance Department.
  • Assist with corporate entity housekeeping, regulatory inquiries, and litigation support.
  • Draft, review, and maintain policies, contracts, and various legal documentation.
  • Support vendor due diligence programs and prepare analyses and memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and monitor legislative, regulatory, and industry developments.
  • Maintain organized files for the Legal and Compliance Department.
  • Perform administrative and operational tasks to support department functions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist with legal matters including corporate housekeeping and litigation support.
  • Draft, review, and maintain policies, contracts, and documentation.
  • Act as a compliance resource for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor due diligence programs and prepare analyses.
  • Conduct legal research and monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Maintain organized files and records for the Legal and Compliance Department.
  • Support operational tasks to enhance department efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management on legal and compliance initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree accepted with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Lexis research tools.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and review is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Track record of establishing solid relationships and being highly personable.
