Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare financial and managerial reports, budgets, and rate cases in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with auditors to support testing of controls and substantive testing of assigned topics.
  • Perform research on complex accounting topics and present findings to senior management.
  • Develop and update internal accounting policies in collaboration with finance and operating teams.
  • Prepare entries, disclosures, and analyses for energy efficiency programs and ESG reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls in all accounting activities.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research as required by management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and managerial reporting.
  • Strong research skills in accounting pronouncements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and auditors.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and ESG disclosures is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with hybrid work environments and adaptability to changing priorities.
