Overview
- Lead educational program services ensuring high-quality special education for children.
- Oversee curriculum development, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision.
- Collaborate with agency and community stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
- Implement strategies for continuous improvement in educational services.
- Ensure alignment of program goals with organizational objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to direct care and clinical staff.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance metrics and outcomes.
- Develop and expand services to meet the evolving needs of children.
- Exercise independent judgment within established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and coordinate all components of educational programs for children.
- Supervise direct care and clinical staff ensuring effective service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement curriculum and educational strategies.
- Collaborate with other programs and community agencies.
- Monitor program performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff for professional growth.
- Expand program services to address the needs of children served.
- Serve as a liaison with stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Special Education or related field required.
- Active NYS Certification in Special Education mandatory.
- NYS School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher.
- At least 3 years of experience in a school administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of educational program development and compliance.
- Proven leadership and staff management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
