Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the success of a dynamic e-commerce team as a Footwear Planner.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and forecasts to optimize profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to develop seasonal and in-season buying strategies.
  • Manage demand forecasting, replenishment programs, and inventory across multiple channels.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets, reforecasting in-season as necessary.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, combining remote and on-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Partner with merchandising to develop seasonal and in-season buys supporting product strategies and achieving sales goals.
  • Translate merchandising strategies into cohesive buys, considering promotional cadence and seasonality.
  • Monitor inbound inventory and delivery dates, ensuring timely execution of purchase orders.
  • Analyze sales data, tracking demand and sell-throughs against projections, and preparing high-level recaps.
  • Execute markdowns and promotions to support sell-through strategies effectively.
  • Analyze margins by SKU, considering return rates, marketing spend, and fulfillment fees.
  • Prepare and maintain annual and quarterly budgets, adjusting forecasts as needed.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless operations and project management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts or related field required.
  • 5+ years of planning experience, preferably in wholesale, retail, or e-commerce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, for data analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of planning, retail math, and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for effective project management.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative with a passion for footwear planning.
  • Willingness to work extra hours to meet key deadlines.
