Job Description

Overview

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of full-cycle weekly payroll for contingent workforce.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with employees to address payroll inquiries and manage support email.
  • Review and validate personnel timesheets using electronic time and attendance software.
  • Audit payroll changes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Process payroll taxes and support new tax registrations as required.
  • Handle deductions, vacation, sick, and holiday payouts efficiently.
  • Generate weekly payroll reports and assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and meet established deadlines.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters within 24 hours.
  • Approve direct deposit requests promptly every morning.
  • Review and process personnel timesheets by 3pm daily.
  • Audit payroll data to ensure error-free processing and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit tax reports by established deadlines.
  • Generate weekly billing reports and close payroll processes by Friday.
  • Support management with special projects and reporting needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all payroll activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience; 6 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic time and attendance software is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with payroll tax processing and reporting is required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills to address employee inquiries effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is advantageous.
