Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Accountant in a dynamic firm, managing tax and accounting engagements across diverse industries.
  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Perform tax planning and research, providing strategic insights to clients.
  • Compile and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accounting-related inquiries.
  • Support partners with special projects and client advisory services.
  • Engage directly with clients to address tax and accounting matters effectively.
  • Respond to IRS and state tax notices, ensuring timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review tax returns for various entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Conduct tax planning and research to identify opportunities for clients.
  • Compile and review financial statements, adhering to industry standards.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including account reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
  • Assist clients with QuickBooks and other accounting software inquiries.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve tax and accounting issues effectively.
  • Address IRS and state tax notices, providing prompt and accurate responses.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting; 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities.
  • Experience in compiling and reviewing financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Ability to perform tax planning and research effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
