Overview
- Lead revenue accounting for managed and professional services businesses in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Oversee the full revenue lifecycle under ASC 606, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Sales Ops, and Accounting leadership to drive business insights.
- Document revenue policies, strengthen controls, and support integration of acquired companies.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the revenue accounting team, fostering professional growth.
- Support external audits and reviews, ensuring compliance and effective communication with auditors.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and gross margin analysis in compliance with ASC 606.
- Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
- Perform detailed reviews of complex revenue transactions and provide guidance to stakeholders.
- Partner with FP&A to analyze revenue trends and business drivers, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Document and maintain revenue accounting policies and internal controls, supporting compliance requirements.
- Integrate revenue processes for acquisitions, aligning practices and harmonizing policies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the revenue accounting team, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with external auditors, preparing documentation and resolving issues effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with expertise in revenue accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and experience managing revenue recognition for services businesses.
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations, deferred revenue, and month-end close processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience with documenting accounting policies and supporting SOX compliance is a plus.
- Ability to manage priorities and collaborate effectively across departments.
