Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform mammography and breast sonography procedures ensuring high-quality imaging results and patient safety.
- Educate patients about imaging procedures to foster understanding and cooperation for optimal outcomes.
- Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, including biopsies and localizations.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with quality control standards and operational readiness.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures, responding promptly to ensure safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare standards.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited program.
- Certification in Mammography (M), Breast Sonography (BS), or Breast Imaging Navigation by ARRT or ARDMS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography or breast sonography; 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in critical thinking and independent problem-solving in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to adhering to regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols in imaging practices.
