Overview

  • Lead and oversee nursing operations within a remote healthcare environment, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations and delivering high-quality care.
  • Supervise a team of 6-8 nurses, providing guidance and support for professional development and clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance care management strategies and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient nursing practices.
  • Conduct audits and case reviews to maintain quality assurance and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Provide clinical expertise and recommendations for managing complex medical cases within the organization.
  • Ensure timely communication and collaboration across departments to support organizational goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to align care strategies and enhance service delivery.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and mentor the nursing team, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and organizational policies in all nursing activities.
  • Develop and refine clinical workflows and procedures to improve efficiency and care quality.
  • Collaborate with care management teams to address medical needs and provide expert guidance.

  • Lead training initiatives to enhance staff knowledge and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations and person-centered planning requirements.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and care management platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data trends and implement strategies for clinical improvement.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA standards and confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address complex medical cases.
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel for quarterly meetings.
