Overview
- Provide preventative oral health care services as a licensed Dental Hygienist within a professional dental team.
- Deliver clinical, educational, and therapeutic services to promote optimal oral health for patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, home care, and treatment plans.
- Perform clinical procedures including radiographs, dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning.
- Administer local anesthesia, fluoride treatments, and therapeutic agents as required.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and infection control protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments, oral cancer screenings, and periodontal evaluations.
- Maintain patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning procedures with precision and care.
- Administer local anesthesia and therapeutic agents to support patient treatment plans.

- Conduct radiographic imaging and analyze results to inform treatment decisions.

- Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments, documenting findings effectively.

- Collaborate with the dental team to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Vocational, Technical, or Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene with relevant experience.
- Licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Massachusetts.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and infection control protocols.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as radiographs, cleanings, and periodontal assessments.
- Strong communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment plans.
- Adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Proof of immunity for specified vaccines and recent tuberculosis skin test results.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team to ensure patient satisfaction.
