Overview
- Lead property accounting operations for a dynamic organization with a focus on excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team effectiveness.
- Oversee treasury functions, including bank reconciliations and cash flow projections.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Maintain knowledge of budgets and forecasts to support financial decision-making.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and uphold internal controls for asset preservation.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and innovation within the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise accounting records and administrative matters for assigned projects and entities.
- Coordinate with functional groups and external representatives to ensure operational efficiency.
- Review and approve funding requests, reserves, and write-offs in compliance with agreements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards in financial reporting.
- Oversee general ledger reviews and analysis for accuracy and integrity.
- Administer financial statement audits and tax preparation processes.
- Provide guidance on complex ownership and equity structures.
- Develop and implement policies to enhance accounting operations and risk management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation mandatory.
- Minimum of seven years of professional accounting experience, preferably in public and industry sectors.
- Three years of management experience with effective people leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate accounting and tax processes.
- Proficiency in analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
