Overview

  • Manage and oversee payroll accounting operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll processes and improve data accuracy and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a skilled team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Develop and analyze detailed payroll reports to support strategic decision-making and organizational goals.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll systems and workflows.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries efficiently, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews, addressing payroll-related inquiries effectively.
  • Utilize advanced tools and systems to optimize payroll accounting operations and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement analysis.
  • Develop and enforce policies for accurate employee data management within payroll systems.
  • Prepare and record annual bonus accruals and quarterly PTO adjustments accurately.
  • Review and finalize balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis reports.
  • Provide training and constructive feedback to team members to enhance their performance.
  • Support external audits by providing detailed payroll accounting documentation.
  • Utilize Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Alteryx for efficient payroll operations.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX regulations in all payroll accounting activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of full-cycle payroll accounting experience required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, tax calculations, and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Alteryx is essential.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
  • CPA designation and public accounting experience are highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage large datasets and perform complex data analysis effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
