Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, subpoenas, and affidavits, with precision.
  • Organize exhibits, coordinate witnesses, and assist attorneys in trial preparation.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and court staff to ensure effective communication.
  • Maintain meticulous organization of electronic and paper case files for seamless access.
  • Ensure attorneys are informed and prepared for deadlines, hearings, and court appearances.
  • Utilize CIS software and Microsoft Office tools to manage cases efficiently.
  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries to support case strategies.
  • Assist in client interviews and maintain confidentiality in all interactions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a family law paralegal required.
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; further education is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CIS software, Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for client and team interactions.
  • Bilingual abilities, especially fluency in Spanish, are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work on-site in a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.
