Job Description

Overview

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD tools for high-performance applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Execute structured tests to evaluate mechanical and functional performance of components and systems.
  • Analyze test data and present findings to drive engineering improvements.
  • Assist in prototype fabrication using rapid manufacturing methods such as 3D printing and CNC machining.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hardware failures.
  • Support production and assembly operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to design improvements and iterative development processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop mechanical designs considering performance, manufacturability, and assembly efficiency.
  • Fabricate prototype components using advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop UAV drone and docking system hardware.
  • Plan and execute tests to evaluate mechanical and environmental performance.
  • Document and analyze test data, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Support assembly operations and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Investigate hardware failures and contribute to corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Fusion 360.
  • Experience with fabrication methods such as 3D printing and machining.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with physical prototypes.
  • Knowledge of structured testing and data analysis processes.
  • Preferred experience with UAVs, drones, or autonomous systems.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Exposure to aerospace, robotics, or hardware-focused product development environments.
