Job Description

Overview

  • Lead interventional radiology services at a Magnet-designated healthcare organization, driving excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to interventional suites, recovery units, diagnostics, cardiac rehab, and wound clinic operations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to enhance quality, teamwork, and continuous advancement.
  • Shape the future of interventional services through innovative program development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management standards and regulatory requirements from agencies such as IDPH, CDC, OSHA, FDA, and DNV.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams while setting clear expectations and fostering professional growth.
  • Monitor and improve department productivity levels and operational efficiency through resource utilization and staffing management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage financial matters including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation for interventional services.
  • Serve as a liaison to physicians, addressing concerns and fostering alignment for quality improvement.
  • Develop and grow outreach services in cardiac care, showcasing advancements and patient success stories.
  • Monitor department productivity and work functions to ensure efficient operations and proper staffing levels.
  • Lead day-to-day operations of interventional suites, recovery units, diagnostics, cardiac rehab, and wound clinic.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and standards compliant with regulatory agencies and quality management practices.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify program growth opportunities and maintain market share.
  • Promote staff competency and development, addressing performance issues and recognizing high performers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a current Illinois RN license required.
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration or business administration preferred; active enrollment acceptable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in cardiovascular care or interventional radiology.
  • Proven expertise in budget management, staffing, and resource allocation within a clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements from agencies like IDPH, CDC, OSHA, FDA, and DNV.
