Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the financial operations of a leading organization with a focus on compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls while supporting management with financial analysis.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline financial processes.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and support month-end close activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a mentor to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Utilize ERP systems to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts for month-end/year-end close.
  • Analyze invoices and billing data to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations for corporate credit cards and vendor accounts.
  • Develop Excel-based reports to analyze financial data and support reporting processes.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and research cash application transactions.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams for accurate reporting.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on accounting procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 5-8 years of corporate accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred.
  • CPA Candidate or CPA Eligible highly desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with BILL software is a plus.
  • Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and support strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.
