Overview
- Lead the daily operations of a 19-bed CVICU unit, ensuring efficient, safe, and compassionate nursing care.
- Collaborate with nationally recognized physicians and a team of 65 healthcare professionals.
- Promote evidence-based practices and integrate research into clinical and leadership processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and professional guidelines.
- Advocate for resource allocation to support quality nursing care and operational excellence.
- Contribute to the professional development of staff in a supportive environment.
- Participate in organizational planning and evaluation of initiatives alongside nursing leadership.
- Foster a culture of growth and learning among new employees to retain talent.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and coordinate clinical care delivery within the CVICU unit.
- Integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to plan and evaluate organizational initiatives.
- Recruit, welcome, and mentor new employees to ensure successful onboarding.
- Promote adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call administrative duties as required.
- Support the professional growth of staff through training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve business and clinical goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing or eNLC license.
- National certification in specialty area within one year of accepting the role.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
- Minimum of five years of nursing experience; two years in relevant clinical hospital leadership roles.
- Post-cardiothoracic background is mandatory for consideration.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in charge or managerial roles.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
