Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations and reporting for structured credit vehicles and private equity funds, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in CFO structures, bridging cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Develop and implement scalable operating standards for a growing structured products platform.
  • Manage a team of accountants and fund administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration and precision.
  • Coordinate complex cash activities and workflows for CFO product launches and ongoing operations.
  • Oversee funding mechanics, drawdowns, note interest calculations, and waterfall allocations with accuracy.
  • Ensure timely preparation and reconciliation of financial statements, investment accounts, and capital activities.
  • Support tax reporting, compliance, and investor communication processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own fund accounting and financial reporting frameworks for structured credit vehicles and private equity funds.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and auditors on complex accounting matters and indenture interpretations.
  • Review outputs from collateral administrators and trustees to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Coordinate cash activities and workflows during CFO product launches and closings.
  • Manage private equity fund portfolios, including detailed financial statement reviews and reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual audits and investor reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support tax reporting and compliance initiatives, including K-1 reviews and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and compliance initiatives effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience managing structured credit vehicles and private equity funds.
  • Expertise in CFO structures, indenture interpretation, and GAAP compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing accounting teams and fund administrators.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex financial matters.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems and tools.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site requirements.
