Job Description

Overview

  • Lead procurement operations to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality standards for manufacturing components and materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to optimize performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct negotiations on pricing, lead times, and terms to secure favorable agreements for the organization.
  • Monitor supply chain risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate disruptions and maintain operational continuity.
  • Track market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations, including government procurement standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing sourcing processes and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage purchase orders from initiation to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance for critical manufacturing components.
  • Conduct competitive pricing and term negotiations to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues to ensure consistent delivery and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain challenges and support production schedules.
  • Implement and oversee risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and government regulations, including FAR/DFAR standards.
  • Support initiatives to enhance procurement processes and drive supplier performance improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing environments; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and production support activities.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for effective data management.
  • Experience with machined parts, electrical components, or manufacturing supply chains is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of government procurement regulations, such as FAR/DFAR, is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
