Job Description

Overview

  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with a designated care team to achieve patient care goals effectively.
  • Perform clinical and technical tasks according to established policies and procedures.
  • Provide respiratory support, including aerosol treatments and suctioning.
  • Administer medications safely and monitor patients’ responses.
  • Collect and document specimens, including urine, blood, and sputum.
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  • Prepare patients for tests and procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as catheter insertion, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic equipment and provide necessary instructions.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, and other essential patient data accurately.
  • Transport specimens and assist professionals during procedures.
  • Initiate CPR and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Administer medications in compliance with state laws and organizational policies.
  • Implement nursing care plans to meet individual patient needs.
  • Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources in delivering patient care.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) in Nursing or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Proficiency in performing clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and EKGs.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and patient monitoring practices.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with care teams.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends as needed.
