Job Description

Overview

  • Support business development initiatives for Capital Markets, Funds, and Real Estate practices within a leading law firm.
  • Collaborate with partners to drive revenue growth through strategic planning and client relationship management.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with firm objectives and industry trends.
  • Provide guidance on pitch materials, RFP responses, and presentations to enhance client acquisition efforts.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce value-additive content and events for portfolio visibility.
  • Oversee budget management and ROI analysis for business development initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge management systems for effective tracking and reporting of business development metrics.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Collaborate with practice leaders to develop strategic business plans and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and refine pitch materials, RFP responses, and client presentations to support business development efforts.
  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, competitors, and client needs to inform strategies.
  • Mentor junior team members, ensuring quality control and consistency across projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets for business development activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with lateral partners for onboarding and integration into business development processes.
  • Lead the creation of marketing collateral and oversee directory submissions for portfolio recognition.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to enhance portfolio visibility through targeted initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (J.D., MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years in marketing, business development, or client service roles, preferably in a law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, pitch preparation, and client relationship management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/database systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build credibility with senior lawyers.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement, commuting to the office 3-4 days per week.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff in a collaborative environment.
