Job Description

Overview

  • Support litigation attorneys by managing administrative and legal tasks efficiently in a dynamic legal environment.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to prepare legal documents, reports, and timesheets.
  • Utilize advanced word-processing and spreadsheet skills to format and proofread legal pleadings.
  • Ensure seamless communication by screening and forwarding calls appropriately.
  • Maintain organized records and binders to support litigation processes.
  • Enter attorney time in 3E system and assist with related administrative tasks.
  • Provide reception coverage as needed, ensuring professional client interactions.
  • Work on-site full-time in a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and depositions.
  • Prepare and proofread Excel spreadsheets for litigation support.
  • Edit and finalize legal pleadings, including tables of contents and authorities.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as travel authorizations, benefit memos, and check requests.
  • Organize binders and maintain accurate filing systems for case management.
  • Provide reception coverage and ensure efficient client communication.
  • Assist attorneys with timesheets, reports, and case opening forms.
  • Photocopy and file documents to support litigation processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in legal document formatting, TOA/TOC preparation, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with 3E time entry system preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Expert knowledge of legal documents and administrative processes.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Reception coverage experience and professional client interaction skills.
