Overview

  • The Senior Accountant role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making within a dynamic organization.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate across departments to maintain accurate financial information and streamline processes.
  • Enhance internal controls and compliance with GAAP standards through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to aid financial planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Lead external audit support activities, ensuring seamless coordination and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries with precision and timeliness.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate seamless audit processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Support financial reporting through expense analysis and general ledger adjustments.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational goals.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in GAAP standards and financial reporting practices.
  • Strong skills in account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to lead month-end and year-end close processes effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
