Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to ensure optimal oral health.
• Conduct oral health assessments and assist dentists in diagnostic procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure equipment sterilization.
• Utilize dental software to manage patient charts and treatment notes.
• Collaborate with dental assistants and dentists for efficient patient care.
• Stay updated on OSHA standards and infection control practices.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Dental Hygiene.
• Active NY State Dental Hygienist license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental office preferred.
• Knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology.
• Familiarity with Denticon or similar dental software is advantageous.
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
