Job Description

Overview

  • Manage financial operations for a portfolio of 15-20 properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Handle cash management, cash flow projections, and bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
  • Process invoices and utility payments using systems like AvidXChange and Multi-Data Services.
  • Coordinate vendor maintenance, direct payments, ACH transactions, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly paid bills reports and assist with annual budget preparation.
  • Support year-end audits by compiling necessary documentation and responding to CPA firm requests.
  • Provide excellent client service to vendors, managers, and internal staff.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Controller or CFO.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process invoices and utility payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Execute adjustments and reconciliations through accounting systems to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Track and manage payments for utilities across a large residential portfolio.
  • Set up vendor accounts and maintain accurate payment records.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.
  • Compile monthly financial reports for review by stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing operating budgets and supporting audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or equivalent degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management accounting; 7 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with accounting systems like AvidXChange and Multi-Data Services.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple accounts.
  • Ability to handle high transaction volumes and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
  • On-site work required; no hybrid schedule available.
