Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional applicant services, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of applications and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support benefit fund administration by validating documents, calculating benefits, and reviewing applications for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address complex issues and enhance service delivery.
  • Assist in preparing Social Security authorizations and transcripts to facilitate application processing.
  • Provide backup support for the contact center to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the applicant services department to optimize workflows.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and stakeholders to support informed decision-making and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and validate application documents, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Process applications, status requests, and verification inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Calculate benefits and prepare system letters for approval or rejection based on established guidelines.
  • Research work history and analyze Social Security transcripts to support application evaluations.
  • Recalculate benefits due to additional service credits or retroactive payments as required.
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with participants, vendors, and departments to resolve problems effectively.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and adhere to performance standards and organizational policies.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in benefit fund administration; Taft-Hartley Trust Fund experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction and problem resolution.
  • Proficiency in managing complex issues with a cooperative and positive demeanor.
  • Familiarity with Social Security Administration processes and document preparation.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional image and organizational standards.
  • Experience with benefit calculations and application processing preferred.
