Overview

  • Provide essential support to healthcare providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, and manage patient registration accurately.
  • Assist with clinical tasks such as vital sign measurement, phlebotomy, and diagnostic test preparation.
  • Document patient care information in electronic medical records promptly and accurately.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists, ensuring patients receive necessary follow-up care.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives to support at-risk patients and reduce emergency visits.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, dress codes, and confidentiality standards.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or eligibility for national certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and healthcare technologies essential.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to address patient concerns effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to perform clinical tasks accurately.
