Job Description
Overview
- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries in a dynamic hybrid work environment.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate financial information and reporting.
- Contribute to month-end close activities and maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc accounting requests as needed.
- Work independently while collaborating with team members in a professional services environment.
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Engage in expense reporting and cash management processes to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process accounts payable and vendor payments accurately and efficiently.
- Generate invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections to ensure cash flow.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with month-end close activities and prepare reports for management.
- Support expense reporting and cash management processes effectively.
- Prepare schedules and reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and address ad hoc requests.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with 4 years preferred.
- Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a professional setting.
- Background in small business or professional services accounting is advantageous.
