Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations, including planning, accounting, and risk management, for a dynamic organization in the construction and design industry.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to executives, supporting organizational growth and stability.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage cash flow projections and optimize banking relationships to enhance financial positioning.
  • Develop and enforce policies to improve operational efficiency and fiscal performance.
  • Collaborate with department managers to refine budgeting processes and financial strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Support insurance audits and loan requests with precise financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct fiscal functions, evaluating organizational performance and implementing strategic financial plans.
  • Provide timely analysis of financial trends to assist executive decision-making.
  • Develop and enforce policies to enhance corporate operations and effectiveness.
  • Optimize cash flow management and establish reliable reporting mechanisms.
  • Advise on financial aspects of contracts and strategic initiatives.
  • Supervise finance team, ensuring adherence to policies and professional development.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and address issues promptly.
  • Support insurance audits and manage loan submissions effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, maintaining professionalism and customer service excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, engineering, or design industries.
  • Proficiency in AIA billing, Sage accounting software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Procore project management software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and ability to work under pressure.
  • Prior supervisory experience, with skills in mentoring and team development.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site five days a week.
  • Commitment to professionalism and adherence to company policies.
