Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a key member of the Fund Finance Private Capital team, focusing on private equity and hedge fund accounting and administration.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, senior management, and clients to manage accounting and reporting processes.
  • Oversee fund launches, ensuring compliance with legal and operational requirements, and provide feedback to relevant teams.
  • Review and approve NAV calculations, partners’ capital account statements, and investor notices prepared by the team.
  • Drive process automation and efficiency by collaborating with Technology and Product teams.
  • Ensure adherence to partnership operating agreements and oversee preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Participate in management-level meetings and facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering professional development and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and manage accounting and administration for private equity and hedge fund feeder funds.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams on new business and fund launches, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Review and provide feedback on fund documents and operational questionnaires prior to fund launch.
  • Approve quarterly NAV calculations, capital account statements, and investor allocation files prepared by the team.
  • Monitor fund compliance with partnership operating agreements and oversee financial statement preparation.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Product teams to enhance automation and efficiency in processes.
  • Prepare and oversee periodic and ad hoc reporting in collaboration with compliance and legal teams.
  • Participate in management-level meetings to align strategies and ensure operational success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fund accounting or finance, with 15 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in private equity and hedge fund accounting and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and partnership operating agreements.
  • Experience in process automation and efficiency improvements is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to guide and develop team members.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle complex accounting and reporting tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
