Overview

  • Drive the administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and seamless operations within a dynamic HR environment.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate benefits processes with payroll and accounting systems effectively.
  • Provide expert guidance to employees on benefits offerings, fostering understanding and satisfaction.
  • Oversee open enrollment processes, coordinating with insurance providers to ensure timely communication.
  • Manage employee leaves, including medical, disability, and statutory requirements, with precision and empathy.
  • Support onboarding processes by ensuring new hires are set up with benefits promptly.
  • Act as a liaison for employee benefits-related inquiries, maintaining professionalism and approachability.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards in benefits administration within union and non-union environments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including 401(k), medical, dental, disability, and ancillary plans.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication to employees.
  • Collaborate with payroll and accounting teams to maintain data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide clear explanations of benefits plans to employees, addressing inquiries with patience and expertise.
  • Manage employee leave processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational policies.
  • Support HR operations during onboarding, facilitating benefits setup for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in benefits administration for diverse employee groups.
  • Act as a key resource for employees regarding benefits-related concerns, fostering trust and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR benefits administration, with 7 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing benefits programs in union and non-union environments.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, benefits compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex benefits information clearly.
  • Empathy and professionalism in addressing employee concerns and inquiries.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Preferred experience in construction or similar industries.
