Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of internal medicine conditions, including outpatient management of complex cases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in medical staff meetings, continuing education, and peer review activities to uphold professional competence.
  • Supervise paramedical personnel, providing guidance and oversight to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Support infection control measures and adhere to OSHA standards and organizational policies.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring activities for paramedical staff and trainees.
  • Contribute to the organization’s mission by delivering patient-centered care and promoting health equity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for adult patients in a clinical setting.
  • Evaluate health status and implement therapeutic and preventive measures tailored to individual needs.
  • Refer patients to specialty services and coordinate care with external providers as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer reviews and chart audits.
  • Attend and contribute to medical staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to paramedical personnel, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Active medical license to practice in the State of New York.
  • Minimum of one year of progressive work experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and health equity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in maintaining medical records and compliance with regulatory standards.
