Job Description

Overview

  • Support e-billing processes for a law firm, ensuring timely submission and resolution of client billing issues.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools like LEDES and Bill Blast to create and manage e-files.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address billing discrepancies and verify rate arrangements.
  • Monitor invoice statuses and assist with collection efforts for outstanding e-bills.
  • Submit timekeeper data, budgets, and accrual information to clients and vendors.
  • Provide backup support for other Client E-Billing Specialists as needed.
  • Work independently while managing a high volume of detailed tasks under deadlines.
  • Contribute to team success by ensuring accuracy and efficiency in billing operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Submit e-bills using Bill Blast and various e-billing platforms, ensuring successful transmission.
  • Create and manage e-files using LEDES format, adhering to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Client Billing Specialists to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
  • Submit timekeeper data, budgets, and accruals to clients and vendors promptly.
  • Monitor invoice statuses, follow up on outstanding e-bills, and assist with collections.
  • Work with Pricing and Billing & Collections Departments to verify rate arrangements and address deductions.
  • Provide backup support for other Client E-Billing Specialists to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adapt to various situations, including overtime, to meet deadlines and workload demands.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree with a minimum of 2 years of legal e-billing experience.
  • Experience working at a large law firm, handling high-volume billing tasks.
  • Proficiency in Elite Enterprise or Aderant billing systems is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word for data management and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with patience to handle repeated invoice rejections.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various situations, including overtime if needed.
  • Motivated to contribute to team success and meet deadlines under pressure.
