Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the Accounting and Finance team by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Evaluate business transactions to determine proper accounting treatment and maintain transparency in reporting.
  • Prepare reconciliations, analyses, and financial statements to support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve variances and ensure accurate transaction recording.
  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary schedules and explanations.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance internal controls and efficiency.
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests and provide detailed financial analyses.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate and record journal entries for business transactions in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including supporting schedules and footnotes.
  • Perform variance analysis and investigate fluctuations against budget or forecast.
  • Collaborate with teams to research and resolve variances or non-standard entries.
  • Participate in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Respond to management requests for ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Support process improvements and strengthen internal controls within the accounting function.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and variance investigation.
  • Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with audit procedures and internal controls improvement.
