Job Description

Overview

  • Support and drive cross-functional drug discovery programs from early discovery through candidate nomination and IND-enabling studies.
  • Manage multiple programs independently across various sites, ensuring scientific alignment and maintaining integrated timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively while maintaining risk and issue logs for effective program management.
  • Prepare program updates and governance materials for senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of status and risks.
  • Contribute to improvements in project management tools and processes, supporting best practices implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure program alignment and successful execution.
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic, science-driven environment, leveraging strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead cross-functional project teams spanning biology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, toxicology, CMC, and translational sciences.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program timelines, monitoring progress to plan and budget.
  • Define and track key milestones, including candidate nomination and IND-enabling activities.
  • Facilitate effective team meetings and document clear decisions and action items.
  • Identify scientific and operational risks, partnering with functional leads to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare program updates and governance materials for senior leadership, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–8 years of experience in biotech, pharma, or related industry.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a solid understanding of the drug discovery process.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and maintain integrated timelines.
  • Experience in risk identification and mitigation strategies within scientific and operational contexts.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and processes, contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, science-driven environment.
