Overview

  • Perform essential phlebotomy tasks ensuring patient comfort and safety during specimen collection.
  • Prepare, label, and store specimens accurately for transportation and testing.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection procedures with precision and care.
  • Label, centrifuge, and store specimens following strict procedural requirements.
  • Ensure accurate matching of laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes.
  • Maintain specimen integrity during storage and transport processes.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide laboratory results professionally.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulatory protocols consistently.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge regularly.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
  • 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred; entry-level candidates welcome.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
  • Knowledge of specimen handling, storage, and transport protocols.
