Overview

  • Lead procurement operations, driving strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness in a dynamic healthcare organization.
  • Develop and implement standardized policies for multi-facility procurement, ensuring consistency and compliance across all locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals and enhance operational performance.
  • Drive innovation in distribution methodologies, optimizing resource allocation and reducing operational costs effectively.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in navigating procurement systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Support organizational growth through strategic vendor management and supply chain optimization initiatives.
  • Occasionally travel to oversee operations, ensuring consistency and excellence across facilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the procurement team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage centralized procurement systems, including purchasing, inventory control, and cost analysis functions effectively.
  • Oversee procurement processes for medical, surgical, and capital supplies, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies, implementing improvements for streamlined operations and enhanced performance.
  • Develop and enforce policies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of resources across all facilities.
  • Collaborate with facility administrators to design effective distribution strategies and optimize operational workflows.
  • Provide training and support for procurement systems and related technologies to enhance team capabilities.
  • Standardize distribution systems across facilities to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to corporate objectives and strategic initiatives effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare procurement and sourcing operations.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience, showcasing leadership and team management skills effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical supplies, equipment components, and healthcare commodities is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including spreadsheets and database management tools, is required.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities to manage complex operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders and teams.
