Job Description

Overview

  • Manage operations for private credit and alternative investments, focusing on loan-based financings, preferred equity, and bespoke structures.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, account managers, and external service providers to ensure accurate settlement and lifecycle management.
  • Serve as the primary contact for restructure processing, requiring precision and strong credit agreement knowledge.
  • Lead cross-functional communication and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational controls.
  • Engage with vendors for service upgrades and participate in strategic projects supporting the firm’s initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation and workflow mapping across products and systems.
  • Contribute to a dynamic work environment aligned with the client’s values of collaboration, openness, responsibility, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide operational coverage for private distressed credit portfolios, including settlement, funding coordination, and cash movements.
  • Oversee outsourced service providers handling back-office functions such as settlements, reconciliations, and document custody storage.
  • Interpret credit agreements to operationalize key terms, including accrual mechanics and payment schedules.
  • Respond to detailed loan-level inquiries from internal stakeholders and client-facing teams.
  • Educate partners and service providers on deal mechanics and structuring.
  • Support complex loan amendments, restructurings, and share conversions through accurate operational execution.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on cash management requirements related to fund development and deal facilitation.
  • Enhance controls and oversight for non-standard alternative transactions.
  • Partner with technology teams to optimize core systems and align business requirements with system capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of operational experience in private and direct originated debt or equity.
  • Strong knowledge of loan-based products, including term loans, revolvers, and delayed draws.
  • Hands-on experience with credit agreements, loan accruals, and deal maintenance.
  • Familiarity with private equity fund frameworks and alternative investments.
  • Proficiency in Excel for analyzing large data sets effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage complex securities and processing tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to foster positive relationships.
