Overview

  • Lead ICU operations, ensuring optimal patient care and adherence to healthcare standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise ICU operations, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
  • Conduct staff evaluations, interviews, and training to maintain high performance.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, addressing variances as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance ICU care quality.
  • Ensure staff adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in organizational committees and initiatives to support hospital goals.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed to support ICU operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; active state nursing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience; ICU experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Certification in specialty area or CNML preferred within 3 years of hire.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage ICU operations effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote teamwork.
  • Knowledge of performance improvement processes and patient satisfaction metrics.
