Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the strategic and operational management of a modern ambulatory surgery center, ensuring excellence in patient care and facility operations.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, governing boards, and leadership to drive compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Oversee financial planning, budget management, and operational risk mitigation to achieve sustainable growth and efficiency.
  • Foster strong physician relationships, support credentialing processes, and develop service lines to enhance operational capacity.
  • Manage staffing, workforce planning, and performance evaluation to maintain high-quality operations and employee satisfaction.
  • Contribute to infection control, quality improvement, and patient experience initiatives to uphold healthcare excellence.
  • Participate in strategic reviews and performance reporting to identify opportunities for operational enhancements.
  • Ensure the center remains compliant with accreditation standards and maintains a safe and efficient environment for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct daily administrative, clinical support, and business operations of the surgery center.
  • Act as the primary liaison between governing boards, medical staff, and leadership teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets to align with organizational goals.
  • Monitor financial performance and proactively address operational risks to maintain stability.
  • Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and coordination of medical staff activities.
  • Manage vendor contracts and service agreements to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives to improve quality, infection control, and patient satisfaction metrics.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for service line development and operational enhancements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical leadership roles within ambulatory surgery centers or hospitals.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in ambulatory surgery center administration or equivalent positions.
  • Proven expertise in budget management, financial performance monitoring, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards.
  • Experience in managing physician relationships and credentialing processes effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills in workforce planning and employee performance management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
