Overview

  • Lead the finance and operations functions for a dynamic investment firm specializing in AI and technology innovation.
  • Oversee financials for funds, co-investment vehicles, and management company operations.
  • Develop and manage the finance and operations team, ensuring optimal performance and growth.
  • Collaborate with founders on strategic financial planning and budgeting initiatives.
  • Establish robust financial controls and infrastructure to support scaling operations.
  • Represent the firm's financials to investors, auditors, and stakeholders with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage fund accounting processes, including capital calls, distributions, NAV, and carried interest.
  • Oversee limited partner onboarding, ensuring compliance with KYC/AML and accreditation standards.
  • Lead annual audit and tax cycles, coordinating efforts with external auditors and advisors.
  • Supervise treasury and cash management across multiple investment vehicles.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Partner with founders on fund economics and strategic financial initiatives.
  • Bring finance and operations functions in-house, setting high operational standards.
  • Mentor and develop the finance and operations team, fostering professional growth.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of finance experience, with leadership roles in investment firms or fund administration.
  • Proficiency in fund finance, including capital calls, NAV, and GAAP financials (ASC 946).
  • Experience managing audits, tax cycles, and compliance processes effectively.
  • Strong judgment and ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced environments.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred for enhanced financial expertise.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills to foster a positive culture.
  • Ability to represent financials professionally to stakeholders and investors.
